Let Go

Usually we tend to let go of pleasant emotions and cling to the unpleasant ones. Ninety nine percent of the world's population is prone to doing this. But when the consciousness becomes free and cultured with meditation, the tendency of holding onto negative emotions is the first thing to disappear. We start living in "the moment" and let go of "the past". This is important because no matter how good the people we interact with are, there are bound to be misunderstandings in any relationship. Once a little misunderstanding crops up, our emotions get distorted and a host of negativities follow. If we are able to let go and focus on the ability of consciousness to revel in the glory of every moment, we are shielded from all the above. The truth that every moment is supportive and complementary to our growth dawns on us. Thus, attaining higher states of consciousness does not require any complicated strategy; one just needs to learn to let go
Divine Qualities
Our human body is made to bring heaven on this earth, it is meant to bring sweetness into this world, not to spill venom. It is easy to disparage someone, but it takes some guts, some intelligence, and some courage to uplift people, to bring out the Divine quality in those around you. By bringing out Divine qualities in others, you will see the Divinity deep inside you.

Expressions

You only see the fall of the water. You don’t see how the Ocean becomes the Cloud. The ocean becoming the cloud is a secret, but the cloud becoming the ocean is obvious. In the world only a few can notice your inner growth and height, but your outer expressions are apparent. Never brood that people don’t understand you. They can only see your expression.

Thoughts

Wake up and realize this is all made up of thoughts, just thoughts, just thoughts. Your appreciation of beauty is a thought, your aversion to an object that is ugly is a thought. Your craving or aversion is nothing but a passing thought in the mind. Realize this is just a thought and you will be free

Awareness

It is awareness that filters the outer negative influences and it is awareness that corrects and annihilates the unhealthy inner tendencies. The purpose of education is to develop this awareness so that you can be selective about your tendencies and influences. It is practically impossible to resist the external influences and the inner tendencies without raising one’s consciousness.

Compassion

Before pointing out a person’s mistake, see whether your comments will help to improve the situation, foster love, or bring harmony. Think about the usefulness of your comments. A magnanimous person does not point out the mistakes of others and make them feel guilty. Instead, they correct others mistakes with compassion and care, not through words but through their attitude.

Self Image

What stands between you and me is your self image. Your self-image restricts you from being me. Self image whether good or bad causes misery. When you think good about yourself in a very subtle manner you think bad about others. Then anger, jealousy, hatred everything follows. When you think bad about yourself you feel low and again you start getting angry and you hate everyone else. So drop your self image.

Drop Your DesiresOur desires have us and they ruin us. Instead, you should have desires. You should be able to drop them any time you want to, and have them any time you want to! You should be able to get on to the horse when you want to, and get out of the horse when you don’t want! Rather than getting stuck in the horse, or allowing the horse to throw you down

Harnessing LustLust grips the mind and tires the body, and dulls the intellect. Lust when indulged brings inertia, and when suppressed brings anger. Lust is nothing but primordial un-harnessed energy. The same when harnessed manifests as enthusiasm, sparkle, sharpness of intellect and love

Self JudgementDon't Judge yourself. There is no need to judge yourself. Can you become a student and an examiner at the same time? No. Certainly not! Learn to leave the evaluation work to someone else!! Let Him decide, let Him evaluate!!

FeverishnessBe active, be dynamic, but not obsessed with feverishness about fulfilling desires. Because that is the root cause of depression. If you are depressed, underneath the depression is a lingering desire

SmileRemember these words. You are very fortunate. You are so amazing and beautiful. Spread joy and smiles. Lessen worry and bring more joy in everyone's lives. You do this job and let the Divine take care of you. Smile at everyone

MeditationOur senses always look outward and the mind through the senses always captures the world around us and then whatever the senses capture is stored inside. Meditation removes all these stored impressions, and provides relaxation and deep rest. The rest you gain in effortless meditation is deeper than the deepest sleep

Carry the LampProblems are an illusion, they are a Shadow. And when can you see the shadow? when your face is turned Away from the light. If you turn your face towards the light, you will not see the shadow.” Whatever the Divine Master says is a lamp and whosoever carries it will Never ever have to wander aimlessly

Treasure House
Each one of us is a treasure house of wealth. Deep inside, you have the Divinity, the light, the peace, the joy, the love that you are seeking. And when you are not in touch with that you are trying to grab this little bit here, grab something from there, for what? Because you don’t realize that there is a great power deep within us

Silence
When I have to correct someone in any situation I first need to remind myself that words will not work but silence based on pure feelings and love will surely work. When I accept the person as he is with love I will be able to bring about a change in him. The lesser I talk the more the peace that is created

Wondering
Wonder is the preface of the union and when you are united, you wonder at everything! You walk around; look at a flower and wonder, “Wow! This flower is so intelligent!” Recognise the intelligence in every petal, every leaf, in every human being that walks around you

Divinity
In the rush of our daily lives, we forget that Divinity is within us. Let us all take this sankalpa - Remembering again and again that the Divine music is within us, my family and I take this commitment that people all over the world should stay happy

Being Stable
The one who considers himself as a server is the one who can remains stable in all situations. In all that we do, if we have the consciousness of being a server i.e., the one who is available for bringing benefit to those around us in one way or the other, we can be stable. When we have this consciousness, we would naturally have no expectations either from people or situations and we will be stable.

Stability
Stability is to remain unshakeable, without any fluctuation in all situations. If we have no stability, even small things begin to upset us. When we have the power of stability, we can be unshakeable in all situations. Stability helps us to be firmly set in our position even in opposition i.e., even in unfavourable situations

Shambho
The word Shambho means to realize how beautiful the Divine is, how beautiful the creation and the Self is! It is a miracle how the same consciousness is present in every being in this creation! There is no other miracle greater than this. How did this One become so many? This tradition of moving from many to one is so unique. Yoga and meditation is necessary for that.

Qualities of a Leader

The first major aspect of good leadership is letting go of control. Are you in control when you’re sleeping or when you’re dreaming? No! Are you in control of any other function in your body? Your heart is pumping all by itself. Your liver functions by itself. The food you stuff in the stomach gets digested all by itself. Do you have any control over them? Are you in control of the Sun and Moon moving around the globe or even the globe rotating on itself? Are you in control of the thoughts that come into your head? So, when you realise you really do not have any control over all major things that are happening in your life, you’ll stand up and laugh. “Oh, what am I thinking, am I in control of something?” Then you will realise that the idea that you are in control is an illusion. And then you relax. And that relaxed state is called surrender. What is surrender? A state of mind, where you are absolutely at home, totally relaxed — with no fear, anxiety, burden or problem. That state is called surrender. Surrender is our very nature; you don’t have to do it. When you are in your natural state of childlike innocence, you are already in a state of surrender. When you cannot surrender, then you make effort, and effort makes you surrender. So when you say, “I cannot relax”, I will say, “Ok, hold your fists tight and tight and tight.” Then, when I ask you to make it tighter and you cannot do that, what do you do? Being tired, you just drop. This is coming to the other end with effort! For a leader, it is also important to be in the present moment.
So, what are the qualities of good leadership? How can you be a dynamic, confident and enthusiastic leader?
The first quality of leadership is to set an example. A leader doesn’t just order things; he does it so that others can do it.
Second aspect is that a leader takes good care of those whom he is leading.
Third aspect is that he doesn’t create followers. A good leader creates leaders. And then chain reaction happens. A leader should delegate responsibility.
The fourth quality is that a leader does not depend on authority. He just does a thing, whether authority is invested or not. It comes by itself.
The fifth aspect of leadership is that he does not worry about position. The respect that you gain through virtue is very different from the respect you gain through the position. The respect you get through a position is short-lived and temporary. But the respect that you gain just because of your smile, your attitude, your virtues are there with you all the time. You may be a chairman of this committee, a president of that committee, or you are barrister here or governor of that state — these are all momentary, temporary. They come and they go. And the respect you get because of this position is not genuine, it is not from the heart, it is not true. But the respect you gain because you are a nice person, is genuine, it lasts long. It is spontaneous.
The sixth quality is that a leader is alert and when challenges come, he is not disturbed. A good leader is one who does not drop things when challenges appear.
The seventh quality of a good leader is one who does not care for comfort, but who stretches himself beyond the comfort zone. Anything creative, dynamic and great can happen only when you stretch beyond your comfort zone where we are often struck. We think we cannot do something: just make an effort and put one step ahead, and you will find that that you are expanding your comfort zone. Creativity transcends your comfort zone. Or, when you step out of the comfort zone, your creativity comes into play.
The eighth aspect is that a leader should not mix head and heart. If you mix head and heart, you are in a mess! When you have to work, you work with commitment and you live with your head. In life, in situations other than when you are working, listen to your heart.
The ninth quality of a good leader is that he should be multi-dimensional and see from the other’s point of view. Put yourself in other person’s shoes, look from the other person’s point of view.
The tenth aspect is that the leader doesn’t depend on one-sided information. When you get some news from one side, don’t take any decision or conclusion till you hear from the other side also. A leader should be a good communicator.
The eleventh is that a leader should have a direct approach.
The twelfth quality of a good leader is not to judge oneself. You have this tendency of judging yourself, “Am I good? I’m no good.” The self-judgment is an obstruction. Stop doing that. Don’t judge yourself. When you judge yourself, you are judging others also. Then you oscillate like a pendulum. If you feel you’re good, then you are saying that others are not so good. So when you find that others are good, and then you feel that you are no good, you blame yourself. Judgment is very similar to self-blame and blaming others. We have to get out of this vicious circle of self-judgment. That is also the state of surrender. When you have surrendered to the Divine that means that you no longer judge yourself. Self-judgment is not necessary. A child is so innocent, why? Because the child doesn’t judge itself.
